Core Membership of RAI is applicable to retailers across sectors. To join as a Core member, a retailer must fulfil the following Criteria’s:

• Issue a tax invoice for every transaction
• Be registered under Goods and Services Tax (GST)
• Not employ child labour and comply with the law of land
• More than 50% of the organization's business or 100 Crore whichever is less should be from B2C retail business

* Membership fee is based on Turnover

* Plus18% GST Applicable

Associate Members are companies that support retail industry. These include retail consultancies, retail hardware and software suppliers (design companies, retail fixture and furniture companies, POS hardware, ERP, software, security systems to name a few).

To be eligible as a service provider you should:

• Be Registered as a Company or Firm in India
• Be a Supplier, Vendor, Developers or Service providers to the Retail Industry

Membership Fee:

• Turnover between 1 crore - 20 crore - One time Entry Fee: Rs.2,00,000 + Rs.1,00,000 Annual Fee + 18% GST
• Turnover between 20 crore - 200 crores - One time Entry Fee: Rs.3,00,000 + Rs.2,00,000 Annual Fee + 18% GST
• Turnover 200 crore & above - One time Entry Fee: Rs.4,00,000 + Rs.3,00,000 Annual Fee + 18% GST

Real estate members are companies that develop/manage retail destinations such as malls and shopping centres. Real Estate members are not required to contribute in to corpus fund of the association.

To be eligible you should:

• Be a real estate developer
• Be registered under Goods and Services Tax (GST)/PF/ESI, etc.

Membership Fee:

• Real Estate Member (Mall & Destination Developers) - One time Entry Fee: Rs.2,00,000 + Rs.1,00,000 Annual Fee + 18% GST

Retailers Association of India (RAI) always strives to bring best practices to the retail industry and its stakeholders. We work to help the retail industry by promoting good practices, providing education and training, doing research, and sharing information through magazines, newsletters, and our website for the benefit of our members and the industry. We also talk to the government to represent the industry's interests

Academic membership is valid for one year from signing the agreement. The college/university shall pay Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees one lakh only) plus 18 % GST to RAI at the time of signing the agreement under the scope of this Agreement as consideration.

Payment by the college/university shall be made against a proper invoice submitted by RAI.

Academic membership benefits include

• A single complimentary invite to our national and regional events
• Students can attend RAI workshops at a member-discounted delegate fee.
• RAI to permit usage of its logo in relevant promotional material, institute to seek RAI's approval on marketing collaterals on all occasions when RAI logo is used (as Academic Member of RAI)
• Providing access to 5 students to attend one masterclass
• Providing industry outreach by connecting students of the college with RAI member organizations for summer internship/short term projects/assistance for final placement etc.
• Organization and employee insurance benefits
• Could attend international events like World Retail Congress, National Retail Federation at member-discounted rate.
• Receive survey findings (trade information, legislation updates, etc)
• Receive e-copies of STOrai magazine

Affiliate associations are associations/industry bodies that partner with RAI towards promoting exchange of information and pursuing common interests. Few examples are- NASSCOM, The Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), Gems & Jewellery Association of India (GJAI), National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI), All India Footwear Manufacturers & Retailers Association (AIFMRA), etc.
